The routes

Walvis Bay–Ndola–Lubumbashi
By road through the Caprivi (Zambezi region) to Zambia and the DRC Copperbelt.
Trans-Kalahari
To Botswana and Gauteng, South Africa.
Trans-Cunene
North to southern Angola.

Namibia's uranium from the Erongo region — including Rössing and Husab — is exported through Walvis Bay under Class 7 dangerous-goods rules. See radioactive cargo.

02

What to plan for

  • Namibia bans the export of unprocessed lithium ore; concentrate is allowed — see export rules.
  • Road distances from the Copperbelt are long; the corridor competes on reliability rather than distance.
