Grievance Mechanism
How to raise a concern about our supply chain or conduct, and what happens next.
Effective 6 August 2026
Template document
01Who can use it
Anyone: workers, communities near mine sites or farms, suppliers, buyers, civil-society organisations and members of the public. You do not need to be a customer.
02How to raise a concern
Email grievance@africanrare.com or use the contact form. You may write in English, French, Portuguese or Swahili, and you may stay anonymous. Tell us what happened, where, when and who was involved, and include any evidence you can share safely.
03What happens next
- We acknowledge within five working days.
- The compliance officer, who is independent of the commercial team, assesses the concern.
- Where a supplier is involved, we investigate and, if the concern is substantiated, act under our Responsible Sourcing Policy, up to suspending or ending the relationship.
- We tell you the outcome, unless you remain anonymous and unreachable.
04No retaliation
We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith, and we require the same of our suppliers.
